    Description

For your consideration please find this Vintage Estate 1939 San Francisco Golden Gate International Exposition Brass Charm Bracelet.  This is a wonderful historical conversational piece that can actually be worn!
This item comes from my husband's great aunt's estate.  A woman who traveled the world, indulged herself in the world of art and history. She would have been 102 years old.
The following information was taken from the web:
The disc are the size of a nickle. This was a grand exposition in the San Francisco area just prior to WW2. A great event for all that lived here then.Held at Treasure Island, the exposition celebrated among other things was the recent building of the two great bridges in the Bay area. The Golden Gate Bridge and the Oakland Bay Bridge. Treasure Island was built to be an airport for for the Pan American flying boats of which the China Clipper is an example. President Franklin D. Roosevelt open the ceremonies via radio. Due to World War 2, Treasure Island was turned into a naval base. The bracelets have 7 discs attached.
Please check out my other listings as I am listing quite a few items from the same estate!
