VINTAGE ELECTRIC CLOTHES PRESSER CIRCA 1930's manufactured by Empire Products Inc. of Cincinnati Ohio.   Still "new unused" in original box (no box cover) with original leaflet instructions but unit is unusable as it is because power cord has deteriorated as rubber on cord is cracking.  I'm sure if new cord was installed it would work but it is all original as is
and makes a great display piece as it is!  Power cord is still wrapped around item and will fall apart itself if unwrapped.
"THE EMPIRE ELECTRIC PRESSER" This unique tool was designed to press the creases in men's pants while they were still being worn according to the advertising and the instructions that would have accompanied it when originally purchased.  The iron opens with the thumb press that opens the two blades. Place the two iron sides on the edges of the pant crease, pleat or tie and move down to press being real careful. The handle is wood painted black. The entire tool is approx. 9 1/2" long and the press blades are about 4 1/2" It is stamped on the iron: EMPIRE PRODUCTS INC. CINCINNATI OHIO PAT. 1889432 37 WATTS 115V"
