    This is a Vintage 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition Compact in the Original Box. The box it was purchased in is from SanJoaquin which is in the Central Valley of California.  The box even has the old style telephone number on it.  This compact is in great condition.  It functions perfectly!  There is still lipstick and powder in the compact.  It is engraved with the name Esther inside.  It weighs 71.33 grams, over 2 troy ounces.  It measures 2 1/2 inches by 2 3/8 inches.  Imagine the woman who owned this World War 2 Era compact!  Postage covers all packing materials and the cost of shipping and handling.  Thank you for looking.
