    Description

TeleVue Walnut and Brass Tripod with Gibraltar Mount.
This listing is for a beautiful TeleVue walnut and brass tripod with the original (old style) Gibraltar mount. This comes from an estate sale and has been in storage a while.  There is NO RESERVE on this listing.
The tripod is in very good overall shape. The brass could stand to be cleaned and polished but even in it's current condition it really stands out and makes the tripod look like a display piece. The walnut legs are in great shape with some minor bumps and scuffs from being in storage. The plastic caps covering the metal feet are worn a bit on the tips--see pics.
The tripod is incomplete in two respects.
First, the accessory tray is missing. The brackets and retaining knobs for the tray are in place, but you will need to buy a replacement tray from commercially available sources. Secondly, one of the two brass elevation screws on the mount is missing. The last picture shows the brass screw that you will need.  Any metric M5 x .8 x30mm screw with a knurled head will work, but I think obtaining the exact replacement from TeleVue would be desirable for such a nice piece of equipment.
As stated above, the Gibraltar mount is the original, older style (see picture). I understand that TeleVue sells an adapter that increases the functionality of the tripod/mount, but as a novice in matters pertaining to telescopes, I can't elaborate or explain that aspect. If you are reading and interested in this listing, I assume that YOU are more knowledgeable in such matters. Please do your research and be sure this tripod and mount will work for your specific application.
Because of the weight and size, I plan to ship this item in two boxes to avoid damage. The mount will be in one box and the walnut tripod in another. I am charging a flat shipping rate of and I will assume any additional costs beyond that in getting the shipment to you safely.
