1. Square rocker box bottom board prevents mount from rolling during transport.
2.  3/4" birch plywood construction is lightweight with excellent durability.
3. Dowel and screw construction provide excellent stiffness.
4. Altitude bearings mounting holes moved forward to correct center of gravity imbalance in manufacturer's design.
5. Altitude bearings mount directly into your telescope's existing bolt holes. Remove your old bearings, attach new ones.
6. Two 1.25" eyepiece holders, each inside front rocker box corner.
7. Bearings use Formica 909-42 Crystal laminate and Teflon for ultra-smooth motion with excellent start-up and stop "sticktion".
You fine sand (arrives 80 grit sanded), stain/paint, assemble this kit.  Your provide: large and small Philips screwdrivers, two wrenches, contact cement to adhere laminate ring and strips to wood on altitude and azimuth bearings.
Screws and dowels provide excellent stiffness; insert the dowels in predrilled holes, screw boards together.  All parts provided including bearing laminate, Teflon pads, screws, dowels.
