SCARCE GEM BU GILT SO-CALLED DOLLAR PARTICIPANT'S MEDAL GGIE GOLDEN STATE EXPO

VERY SCARCE 1939 GGIE GOLDEN GATE INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION MEDAL GIVEN TO PARTICIPANTS IN THE FAIR. THE MEDAL APPEARS TO BE GILT. IT IS A GEM BU, POWERFLY STRUCK, POSSIBLE WITH A PROOF PRESS. SPECTACULAR GEM AND BY FAR THE NICEST OF THE FEW I'VE EVER SEEN.
I am working now to organize several major 2023 auctions and they will include a variety of world's fair materials, but also two specific collections from 1901 and 1904 St. Louis.
Gold will highlight several auctions as we have the Frank Shaw Collection to sell—175 slabbed Liberty and St. Gaudens double eagles and more than 400 raw US, Canada and Krugerrands to sell.
We have specialized in world's fair medals, tickets and ephemera for more than 40 years and our forthcoming auctions will include collections from 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, 1901 Pan Am Expo in Buffalo and 1904 St. Louis and a variety of items from most any fair from 1851 up through 1967 Montreal.
The Shaw collection also includes 50 rolls of gem BU Mexican .999 silver onzas, and miscellaneous type coins.
I am working as fast as possible through the holidays to photograph and describe all of the above material, and I'm very excited to be handling several consigned collections and bringing hundreds of rarities to market in 2023.
