RARE SILK CANDY CONTAINER PURSE FRENCH FASHION

Description

For sale is a very unusual silk candy container in the form of a little purse. It is not marked, but my mother was told it was French. It could actually be used as an accessory to a French fashion. It is made of a stiff material covered with padding and pink silk printed with delicate flowers. The top of the purse opens to reveal the container beneath. The pink silk covering decorated with tiny flowers is extremely fragile; there are spots where it has melted. I’ve taken many pictures of this little treasure for you to determine condition. The majority of the silk is still here. The top lifts off and up through four cords/handbag straps. It’s a very special, precious little item for your consideration; I doubt you will find another. It measures 2 ¼” top to bottom; 2 ½” width; the square top of the bag measures 2x2.
I’ve been listing Mom’s items for some time now. She’s allowed me to sell many things to first, get through college, and now to repay grad school bills. She’s collected a variety of items over the years, the majority dolls and toys. I’m sorry to say I list sporadically as I am now teaching full time.
