Estate Vintage Chinese 1950s Long Tapestry Silk Smoking Robe
This men's smoking robe was purchased  in China in the early  1950s  by my dad who served in the Korean War. It has been kept in storage for 70 years. For it's  age it is in good condition.  It's silk brocade Tapestry with silk lining.  Has large  lapels. Two front pockets and one pocket at the chest. Robe fringed belt. Elaborate Asian  scenery in the design. Black with orange,  gold, silver,iridescent colors. The outside  is in near perfect condition  without any stains or tears. The inside  lining  has a few stains and a few holes as shown in the photos.  Was stored in a cedar chest in a clean smoke free environment . Size says medium  but sizes were different in 1950s., probably  runs small.  It measures approximately  50 inches  in length,  20 inches from armpit to armpit and  sleeves are 20 inches long.
