The Celestron AVX GOTO computerized equatorial mount is like new, opened out of original box and used only twice in the field. The head and GOTO Nova controller were recently overhauled. The computer system was updated and the head, recalibrated, oiled etc... The mount is virtually new with no noticeable damage to the Tripod body, head and other visible parts. New hand held controller with extension cable comes with the AVX mount. And in addition a Celestron plug in WiFy portal adapter comes with the package, which will be shipped via UPS because of the weight constraints. Please also keep in mind that two separate 12LB. counterweights are an option with the total package cost, however please account for 24LB.s of additional shipping and handling if counterweights are needed, or wanted. The tripod head can support a variety of SCT telescopes, up to and including the 9.25" SCT. particularly with 2 counterweights to balance the tube. The 6 inch and 8 inch SCT's can easily accomodate the weight restraints of the Celestron AVX. The Celestron AVX mount also contains a Polar Scope within the mount head, which is essential for aligning the scope for Astrophotography purposes with the North Star - (Polaris).
