ANTIQUE 中国双剑 CHINESE DOUBLE SWORD SILVER INLAY 乾隆 WWII JAPANESE USMC

Description

This is a very old Chinese Double sword.  Both swords fit inside the scabbard and look like 1 before being exposed.  The blades are inlaid with silver with intricate designs and forms of ancient Chinese sages ending with a 5 toed dragon at the tips.  The grip is bone and scrimschawed but very worn from years of handling.  Also the scabbard is shagreen over wood.  All the metal fittings are again,  intricately designed.  The scabbard tip /or drag is missing.

I'm selling this for a friend's widow - friend had owned it for over 40 yrs.  A US Marine  vet had brought it out of China in 1945 as a souvenir.
