Antique Inch 17.25 Inch Phonoharp Zither - Pat Aug 4 1891
A nice old piece for the musical instrument collector who has almost everything!
Likely made by the Phonoharp Co of Boston late in the 19th century.  It has 15 strings.
The notes assigned to the string (beginning with C over 1, D over 2 etc) on the tape
has darkened over time so it's not easy to see (photo #5).  There is some separation
of the wood on the side near the keys (see photo #9 & #10).  Still, an interesting and
intriguing instrument.
It is about 17.125 inches at highest point, shorter angle is 8.375 inches, it is 8.875
inches wide and the depth is .875 inches.
