1939-1940 SF, Calif. NORWAY LODGE CAFE at Golden Gate Expo GGIE Photograph

Description

For bid is an original 1939 or 1940 Golden Gate International Exposition / World's Fair GGIE photograph from San Francisco, California.  Photo shows a man and a boy posed in front of the GGIE "Norway Lodge Cafe" building.  The menu board for the restaurant is at the right and the boy seems to be distracted by it.  A Norwegian armorial shield is on the building at left.  Sandwiches at the restaurant cost 15 cents.  Beer cost 20 cent.  Deserts were 10 cents.  This building was sometimes referred to as "Norway's Ski Lodge" at the fair.
