1938 FBI Letter Lonnie Affronti Kansas City Gangster J Edgar Hoover Vtg
---  Folded card stock letter/notice post marked Indianapolis Ind Jan 17, 1938 sent to Rockville Indiana National Bank.  Letter is dated January 6, 1938, Letter informs the bank that a prior identification order was cancelled for Lonnie Affronti (re the Harrison Narcotics Act) because he was located in Brooklyn New York December 30,1937 (one week prior to the notice date).  Letter text appears to be printed on the letter, the type did not cause impressions in the paper as it would if hand typed.  Text signed as John Edgar Hoover, Director (not hand signed etc).  Measures 8" x 8" when unfolded.
